So what is this holiday all about anyway?! The story of Purim takes place about 2,500 years ago in Persia, and how one brave woman Esther saved the Jews from the evil Haman. If you want to learn more, you’ll have to go to a Megillah reading (in costume) – check out TAIS, Wine on the Vine, and YJP (all on Wednesday night). More Megillah readings in our Ultimate Purim Guide.
