Rainbow Burgers

Vegan Burgers | Ibn Gabirol 88

Truly, Rainbow Burger is the perfect pit stop for born-again vegans who loved meat in a past life, and need that feeling of meaty satisfaction in the pit of their belly (minus the actual meat of course). For that, Rainbow Burger has definitely got you covered! […] One juicy bite of Rainbow Burger later and it *almost* had me convinced that this was the real deal. The texture, look and taste are darn near identical to meat. Not to mention, the soy and mushroom burger blend gave me the same warm, fuzzy, happy-tummy feeling I get from eating meat. Check out some more vegan places we love!

Homemade Vegan | King George 31 (vegan friendly), Dizengoff 140 (vegan)

Most vegan places usually are either healthy, homemade, cheap or serve comfort food, Market is an incredible combination of the four. They have delicious stews that remind you of a cold winter night in your grandma’s house but with a healthy twist, and you can choose whether you want it served on rice (white or brown) or noodles and add toppings like sweet potato and other veggies. The stews change every day, so it’s a good thing you can try them all before deciding! They have two branches, one on King George that is usually very crowded (they have some non-vegan toppings) and a bigger, 100% vegan one on Dizengoff!

Vegan Tapas | Ibn Gvirol 48

Herzog is a new place that recently opened on Ibn Gvirol, by the chef Roey Hertzog of the Eyal Shani line of chefs. It is a cozy place with many well priced vegan tapas and a famous mountain dish, which changes every day, filled with lots of vegan goodies. No way will you come out hungry!

24 Rupee

Veggie Indian Restaurant | Shoken 16

Fun vegetarian Indian restaurant in South Tel Aviv. Familiar to the thousands of Israeli backpackers who have travelled around India, the restaurant serves thalis, a small tray filled with little dishes of rice, lentils, vegetable stew, and bread. The atmosphere is fun and hippy, shoes aren’t allowed inside and you sit on the floor – “shanti shanti” as they say in Hebrew.

Word from the Group:

  • “Indian place 24 Rupee, is peculiar, great food, you have to take your shoes off, and has the best chai ever. I love it!”
  • “24 Rupee down in Florentin for some indian… also a really chilled place with nice ambience – something different”
  • “24 Rupee is mostly vegan (there are a few dairy items) and also delicious”
