The Rothschild Neighbourhood is located in the centre of the city, and is home to some of the most beautiful streets in Tel Aviv… and some of its most beautiful boutique hotels and hostels. Away from the chaos of the beach, this chilled out neighbourhood is also home to a lot of Tel Aviv’s best bars and restaurants.
Rothschild Boulevard itself is both beautiful and historically important: on one end is Tel Aviv’s modern theatre and concert hall, on the other is the building where Israel’s state was announced in 1948. Many of the buildings in the area are of Bauhaus 1930s design.

Ok, so its going to cost you an arm and a leg to stay here… but if you can afford it, this is the best hotel in Tel Aviv at the moment. The Norman opened in 2014, setting a new benchmark for luxury boutique hotels in Tel Aviv. Located two minutes from Rothschild Boulevard, the hotel is set in a converted and enlarged 1920s mansion, specked up to the highest standards, with a beautiful infinity pool on the roof, a top-class restaurant, and the best customer service in Israel. Have fun checking out all the beautiful little touches throughout the rooms.
Montefiore 36 | $$$
Another beautiful boutique hotel in central Tel Aviv, created out of the conversion of a 1920s heritage building, the hotel has 12 unique elegant rooms specked to the highest standards. The restaurant is also well-known in Tel Aviv, famous for its amazing breakfasts.
Kalischer 25 | $$
This hotel is situated between the beautiful Rothschild Boulevard, the trendy Neve Tzedek, and the lively Shuk HaCarmel and Nahalat Binyamin. It has beautifully designed rooms, a well equipped and charming spa, and a great rooftop terrace with a panoramic view of Tel Aviv. It is also a lot cheaper than the Norman and Montefiore hotels.

An excellent little boutique hotel situated besides the beautiful Rothschild Boulevard. Each one of the hotel’s 15 luxury rooms is decorated in its unique and different style bohemian, and there is a relaxing lounge area on the rooftop. In the evenings, you can reserve a table at Alma Lounge (Chef Restaurant – Yonatan Rochfeld) and enjoy a wonderful evening in the amazing atmosphere.

Tel Aviv’s newest boutique hotel opened in July 2015. With a great location on Lillenbloom Street, two minutes from Rothschild Boulevard and next to the very fashionable Abraxus North Restaurant and Bar, the hotel has a chic urban style and a solarium and terrace.

Another new hostel, Little Tel Aviv opened in 2015. Located on Yehuda Halevi, just near Rothschild Boulevard and the Central Bus Station, Little Tel Aviv has stylish modern rooms, indoor and outdoor communal areas, and organises bar crawls and other social events. It also has a cool bar downstairs called Hostel 51.

If you are looking for a hostel in Central Tel Aviv, this could be your perfect solution – located just near the Shuk, the beach, and Rothschild Boulevard. It has a large outdoor patio, a communal indoor area, free wifi, and a great vibe!
Tel Aviv is blessed with 5km of beautiful beach, stretching from the modern Tel Aviv Port in the North to the biblical Jaffa Port in the South. The beach is lined with high-rise hotels, and a few new boutique hotels are starting to sprout.

A great hotel for executive travel. The location is ideal, next to the beach, the reception is efficient and professional, the rooms are spacious and well-furnished, each with a balcony, the breakfast buffet is huge and there are five kosher restaurants, and the pool is a great place to sunbathe and meet new people. The hotel has 560 rooms, and the top two floors have access to an exclusive Executive Lounge.
The hotel’s clientele is usually a mix of businessmen, or families from France, America, Russia, and the rest of Europe. The hotel also regularly hosts conferences and weddings.

Florentine Backpackers Hostel is definitely one of Secret Tel Aviv’s favourites. Located in trendy Florentine, an area with great bars and restaurants, the hostel has a good sized communal area, excellent breakfast, free wifi, good fellow travellers, and a great price tag.
Ben Tsvi 47, Jaffa | $
Another Secret Tel Aviv favourite. Hostel Overstay is located in Jaffa (about 1 km from Jaffa Market, 1.4 km from the beach, and 2.3 km from the central bus station), but it definitely has a special atmosphere. It has a rooftop bar which often hosts parties, a communal indoor lounge, swimming pool, free wifi, breakfast, and awesome people.

A great location just near the Jaffa flea market and 400m from the beach, the Old Jaffa Hostel has a communal kitchen and a rooftop terrace.
