With 360 days of sun a year, a loud nightlife, scuba diving and swimming with dolphins, beaches, and awesome spring break parties… you don’t need to leave Israel to have a great weekend away!
Here are some of our favourite Eilat Hotels…
The Herods Palace Hotel is the largest of Herods’ three hotels in Eilat with almost 300 rooms – all with balconies. Located at the north part of the city, the hotel has it’s own pool area and a very large spa with a Turkish Bath! You can enjoy the hotel’s daily Israeli breakfasts, or snack at the hotel’s coffee shop or poolside bar.
The hotel’s wellness centre consists of a sauna, gym and an amazing Turkish bath. If that’s not good enough for you just go out to the hotel’s private beach and enjoy a cool swim in the Red Sea.
Consistently rated as one of the top hotels in Eilat, the Herods Vitalis Spa Hotel is a small exclusive spa hotel. This is a great romantic getaway, with five-star service, adults only, and a spa with over 60 different types of treatments!
If you fancy some pampering, check out the Herods Boutique Hotel. All the rooms have a king-sized bed, most have large balconies, and the Boutique Hotel has its own private swimming pool.
With elegant rooms (albeit a little dated now), decorated with warm colours and earthy tones, The Dan Eilat Hotel offers free WIFI, a swimming pool area, a squash court, an outdoor hot tub, and parking free of charge. And if you have kids, the Dan is the coolest hotel in Eilat, with a waterslide in its pool and the DanyLand kids play area.
The Hilton Queen Of Sheba Hotel positions itself as an upmarket luxury hotel complex. It has a whopping 480 rooms, four restaurants, an outdoor pool, a spa and gym, and even a shopping mall!
The Royal Beach Eilat is positioned as the most luxurious of Isrotel’s eight Eilat hotels – and is also one of Isrotel’s five ‘Exclusive Collection’ Hotels. The hotel has 353 rooms all with balconies, 3 pools, and a private beach.
The Isrotel King Solomon is one of eight Isrotel hotels in Eilat. It is positioned as a high-end hotel that caters for families – with waterslides in the pool and activities for the kids throughout the day.
It has 420 rooms and suites, all offering views to either the sea or the Edom Mountains, and the top three floors are executive King Floors with access to the King’s Lounge – located on the 12th floor with a large sun balcony and executive perks.
The Isrotel Agamim is positioned more as a boutique hotel rather than the larger high-rise hotel complexes – although with 280 rooms it is still a big hotel. It is also a bit cheaper than the large high-rise hotels – yet with 4-stars it still has a lot of luxury.
The Agamim regularly gets good reports in Secret Tel Aviv – big pluses include the breakfast staying open till 12pm and nice pool. Negatives include being a 5-minute walk from the tourist centre of the city. Some of the ground floor rooms have a private terrace and direct access to canals leading to the pool.
The Orchid Reef is a lovely small hotel, with a great pool, good conditioned rooms, and a delicious breakfast. However what really makes the hotel stand out is its location – right next to Coral Beach. This is perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving. It’s about a 15-minute drive from the more touristy North Beach, but offers free bike rental and a free shuttle bus to make the trip easier.
Does exactly what is says on the tin – Cheap accommodation in Eilat! Located in the city center, about 1km from the touristy North Beach, the hostel has various different room options and a free breakfast.
