Rosh Hashanah is almost here, and yes—you can already taste the honey! 🍯🍎 This year, the Jewish New Year kicks off on Monday, September 22nd, and in true TLV style, the celebrations go far beyond the family table.

Rosh Hashanah, literally the “Head of the Year,” is one of the most important holidays in the Jewish calendar, celebrated for two full days—starting at sunset on Monday and wrapping up Wednesday evening. Families across Israel will gather for festive meals on Tuesday night, but here in Tel Aviv, it’s not just about tradition. Alongside the religious rituals, the city comes alive with buzzing markets, communal dinners, and some of the best parties of the year.

To make your life easier, we’ve broken down our Rosh Hashanah 2025 guide into three sections: Religious Experiences, Markets, and Parties—so whether you’re craving a spiritual moment, a foodie adventure, or a night out in true TLV fashion, we’ve got you covered. (Pro tip: If you’re eyeing a Rosh Hashanah dinner, book early—seats go fast!)
