SUKKOT SAMEACH 🍋

Seven days of festive events, starting on Friday

Sukkot starts on Friday night! Get ready for seven days of fun – from communal dinners and amazing concerts to crazy parties! Sukkot celebrates the traditional gathering of the harvest, and also commerates the 40 years the Jews spent walking through the dessert after escaping Egypt. The main traditions are building and living in a Sukkah, and shaking lulavs and etrogs. Looking for a place to buy your Sukkot kit? Kick off the celebrations with a bunch of cool events

Grab your dancing shoes and get into the holiday mood with great events tonight! Belgian star Oscar and the Wolf fuses electronic pop with emotional soul music @ Reading 3; Aviv Guedj rocks the house at Barby; Jasmin Moallem will serenade you @ Vista Bar (Jaffa Port); and Radio Baghdad grooves to the rhythm of alternative music at Rafi. Start the holiday weekend in style with loads of fun events!

There’s loads going on tomorrow night! World famous Israeli psytrance duo Infected Mushroom take over Barby; get ready for a whole night of live electronic performances and lots of new music with Pettra @ Hangar 11; chill with a free sunset jazz concert @ Jaffa Port; shake your booty to a mix of club, afrobeat, dancehall, and hip-hop music at free party @ Rafi; and Midburn Camps Sunrise Kingdom and Camp Craziness team up to say konnichiwa for a Japanese themed party (more Midburn parties here). FRIDAY NIGHT – SUKKOT 🫂

Join a communal dinner to meet new people and get delicious food

Start your Sukkot celebration with a delicious meal in a sukkah and meet loads of amazing people at communal dinners. On Friday night head to the Tel Aviv International Synagogue, JTLV, or Ichud Shivat Zion for a festive evening in a Sukkah. Next Wednesday, The Tribe is hosting a Sukkot Party with live music and an open wine bar, and next Friday there are loads of Simchat Torah events, find them here! From Israeli techno to Brazilian samba, you’ll find a lot of cool events!

It’s officially Sukkot – let the parties begin! During the afternoon Israeli techno legend Offer Nissim takes over Park HaYarkon and Teder hosts a free Pan Africa party to celebrate Ethiopian new year; in the evening get into the South American vibes with Argentinian rock legends Babasonicos in concert at the Barby, and local Brazilian band Sambadobom have a free show@ Jaffa Port. BRUNO MARS 🔥

You’re amazing just the way you are…

Can you already feel the 24k magic in the air? Global superstar Bruno Mars has two sell-out shows at Park HaYarkon next week (next Wednesday and Saturday). With over 200 million singles sold worldwide and 14 Grammy Awards to his name, this show is going to be HUGE! COMEDY FOR KOBY 🫂

Starring hilarious American-Israeli comedian Modi Rosenfeld

Voted one of the top 10 comedians in New York City by The Hollywood Reporter, Modi is one of the comedy circuit’s most sought after performers. He’s coming to Israel next week for several shows as part of the Comedy for Koby initiative – an amazing foundation that raises money for relatives who have lost loved ones to a terror attack. Get nerdy at Israel’s premier sci fi fest starting on Tuesday @ Cinematheque

The Icon Festival for Science Fiction, Fantasy and Role-Playing takes place on October 3-5 at the Cinematheque. This year’s festival theme is “Antiquities”, and includes many exciting events, such as lectures, RPG sessions, panel discussions, cosplay contests, comical and musical shows, providing a huge celebration for science fiction and fantasy lovers and even much broader audiences.
