Trio Radio Baghdad play parts from an extensive repertoire of artistic Iraqi music (the “Iraqi Makam”), from which they weave wales and songs full of pain, sadness, longing, and also about happiness and deep love.
The vocalist of Radio Baghdad 聽– grew up on the sounds of the Iraqi maqam and returns to them with his voice and the drumming of the darboka. The personal and musical meeting between the three friends began more than a decade ago in Tel Aviv’s punk and alternative music scene.
