Welcome back to Secret Tel Aviv’s Guide to the Best Restaurants in Tel Aviv! This guide is one of our favourites – we’ve gone back to the community via our new Secret Tel Aviv App, and asked you guys what are your favourite bars and restaurants in the city. Right now Teder is leading the pack (yes, technically not a restaurant, but the pizza, atmosphere and value have earned it a permanent spot in everyone’s hearts), followed by community favourites Cafe Xoho, Nam, HaTaco, and more. On Saturday: Happy Birthday ‘Murica!

Happy Independence Day to all our American friends! Kick off the weekend on Friday with a July 4th-themed Shabbat dinner at the Tel Aviv International Synagogue. Saturday is packed: Olim in TLV celebrates with Stars, Stripes and Shots at Secret Garden, Mike’s Place hosts an all-day American party, while Kuli Alma keeps it classic with hot dogs, cold beers and good music (plus exclusive deals at both venues on the Secret Tel Aviv App). Tonight: Two of our favourite food spots are throwing parties

Tonight two of our favourite places to eat are turning into party venues! Le Mala celebrates seven years with its legendary Disco Taco party – expect DJs, dancing and plenty of tacos until late. WORLD CUP WEEKEND ⚽️

The knockout stage is here – and Tel Aviv is ready!

The World Cup has entered the knockout stages, and the city is stepping up too. This weekend, Teder hosts a huge free football festival with giant-screen screenings, DJs, football talks, vintage shirt pop-ups and more. On Sunday, Ala Rampa hosts the Brazil Supporters Club for Brazil vs Norway. SRF PARK TURNS ONE 🏄🏻‍♀️

Tomorrow (Friday): A birthday party for Tel Aviv’s Surfers

We’ve loved seeing what SRF Park has built over the past year! It’s become much more than Israel’s first surf lagoon – it’s helping grow a real surf community, with lessons, events and a place where beginners and experienced surfers can hang out together. Tomorrow they’re celebrating their first birthday with live music, DJs, surfing demos, food, cocktails, local market stalls and family activities. Saturday: A perfect summer evening at Park HaTachana

One of our favourite free summer events is back for a second round this Saturday! Park HaTachana and legendary Tel Aviv jazz club Beit HaAmudim are hosting an open-air jazz evening, with performances from some of Israel’s top jazz musicians, plus vinyl DJ sets between the shows. This week: Shlomo Artzi, Fortis, Ravid Plotnik and more

It’s another big week for live music in Tel Aviv! On Saturday, Israeli folk rock legend Shlomo Artzi has a show at HaTarbut; Ravid Plotnik brings his fun blend of hip-hop, jazz and reggae to Reading 3 (also a show next Wednesday); Shazamat return to Barby with hip-hop, punk and rock hits. Next week, an indie-electronic favourite Ryskinder plays a rare acoustic set at Levontin 7, before Israeli rock icon Fortis celebrates his birthday at Barby with special guests Maor Cohen and Hemi Rudner. Next Thursday: Celebrating 20 years at the heart of Tel Aviv’s live music scene

For the past 20 years, Levontin 7 has been where countless musicians have played some of their very first shows, helping shape Tel Aviv’s independent music scene. Next Thursday, they’re celebrating in style by taking over the entire Tel Aviv Museum of Art, with live performances spread across the galleries and outdoor spaces.
