🏪 The Neighborhood Way – The Local Makolets

On almost every street corner

For the most authentic, casual local experience, you don’t even need to head to a bar. Tel Aviv’s neighborhood makolets (little 24/7 grocery kiosks) almost always pull out a TV, set up plastic chairs on the sidewalk, and broadcast the games right on the street corner. It is the perfect place to grab a cheap beer from the fridge, crack open some garinim (sunflower seeds), and watch the match alongside passionate neighborhood locals.

* While many makolets are open 24/7, whether they screen the 03:00 or 04:00 matches depends entirely on the owner, so it’s best to check with your neighborhood favorite ahead of time!
