Joseph Bau House is a small authentic artist workshop museum located near Rotschild boulevard. It carries the whole Joseph Bau’s art collection, including short films and animations.
Joseph Bau was a Holocaust survivor, artist, and graphic designer. During World War II, he used his artistic skills to forge documents and create fake identification papers to help others escape. Bau and his wife escaped the Kraków Ghetto and joined the Polish resistance. In Israel, he became a renowned artist, creating paintings, sculptures, and graphic designs. He also shared his story worldwide to educate about the Holocaust. Bau’s work continues to inspire and promote remembrance.
