The Dead Sea is the world’s lowest point located almost 1000 feet below sea level. As well as visiting and floating in the Dead Sea, another cool place to visit nearby is Masada – the last refuge for the Jews against the Roman Empire in AD 73. We recommend climbing Masada at sunset, or visiting one of the cool concerts that are staged there every year.

Where to stay at the Dead Sea?

  1. The majority of hotels in the Dead Sea are located in Ein Bokek, a tourist town on the south west shore of the dead sea. Choose from lots of 4 and 5 star hotels.
  1. For those wanting luxury and peace and quiet, check out the hotel at the Ein Gedi Kibbutz.
  1. For travelers on a budget, there are plenty of excellent hostels to check out.
