BEACH CLEANUP â±ïž
Friday: Beach Clean Up with Plastic Free Israel and Tel Aviv University
We’ve teamed up with the amazing Plastic Free Israel and The Lowy International School at Tel Aviv University for a Beach Cleanup on Friday morning at Midron Yaffo Park. Meet amazing people, lead by example, and clean up our beautiful beaches! The cleanup starts at 8.30am, bring your water bottle and sunscreen and we’ll take care of the rest. For more Plastic Free Israel events join their WhatsApp Group. The Tel Aviv Surf Film Festival is throwing down a rager for the 45th anniversary of one of the most revolutionary surf movies of all time. Free Ride is considered to be the gold standard of surf movies. It features some of the most progressive surfing ever captured on film, along with groundbreaking slow motion water photography, featuring the trio which defined competitive surfing for years to come. One of the most popular Israelis musical group Balkan Beat Box is coming to Barby this Thursday! These Israeli superstars have been fusing Balkan brass, hip-hop, and electronica to create their own unique brand of music for over 20 years. Balkan Beat Box is the only band that can make you feel like you’re in a mosh pit at a metal concert one minute, and then dancing the night away at a rave the next. Saturday: A fundraising festival for the animal-loving Gilboa association
Fogo 4 Dogs is a huge metal festival for a great cause – to benefit the Animal Loving Gilboa Association, which helps to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome stray and abandoned animals! It will take place on August 26th at the Gagarin Club in Tel Aviv, and will feature over 10 hours of live metal, punk, and hardcore performances by some of the best bands in Israel. In addition to the music, there will also be a huge indoor and air-conditioned alternative fashion fair, music booths, and food booths.
