We’re so happy the Secret Tel Aviv Events Calendar is finally back, it’s even more important now to connect with people and enjoy all the amazing things in our beautiful city! Barby celebrates its new home with an amazing line-up of concerts this week

Ahoy, Tel Aviv’s premier live music venue Barby has moved to a new home in Jaffa Port! Thirty years strong, Barby has grown from a cozy concert nook to a must-hit stage for Israeli and Inter-national stars. There’s a great line-up this week, including surprise shows at Cat in the Sack, Israeli rock star Corinne Allal (Weds), rock out with Monica Sex (Thurs), slam with legendary hip-hop band Hadag Nahash (Fri), and finsh the week w alt-pop queen Noga Erez on Saturday! Also, be sure to check out music photographer Orit Pnini’s exhibition of memories from the old Barby – above is her pic of Mercedes Band performing at the new Barby complete with the iconic Barby chandelier. TU B’SHVAT 🌳

The Ultimate Jewish environmental holiday on Wednesday eve

Tu B’Shvat is a Jewish Holiday that celebrates trees and nature. There are some cool events this year, including: A Musical Mystical Seder at Tel Aviv International Synagogue on Tuesday; on Wednesday night JTLV host a seder and a live show from Jewish-American rapper Nissim Black; on Friday Chabad on the Coast have a special Tu B’Shvat-themed dinner; and don’t miss the Sarona Tu Bshvat Kibbutz Market from Wednesday to Friday! Eyal Shani has opened a new gelato parlour – we checked it out

This year is already off to a delicious start with the opening of Eyal Shani’s latest masterpiece Cassata, located in the heart of Park HaMesila (next to Teder). Part gelato parlour, part wine-bar, Cassata has earned our stamp of approval due to the rich, creative flavors and quality all around. The sourdough with olive oil, flakey sea salt and breadcrumbs was surprisingly good, as was the special sweet guava topped with homemade strawberry sauce. They also step up their game with a fancy matcha affogato, and of course, it would be a disservice to exclude the actual cassata sandwiches.
