Yes, we know that it’s not really a “metro”, but a light rail network – but the metro just sounds so much more cosmopolitan and befitting of one of the world’s most expensive cities! After 12 years in the making, the metro is finally due to open on Friday – for a few hours before it closes for Shabbat. To celebrate we’ve created a Tel Aviv Metro Guide with everything you need to know about each Tel Aviv station. Tuesday: A month long celebration of art, creativity, and community

If you’re an emerging artist, a creator, or an art lover, this is the event for you. For one month, the Kakdelart community takes over the Almacen Gallery for a special Art Pop-Up. This show is in Hebrew and has everything in it – cursing, fights, nudity, body fluids, and all the glitz and glamor you can imagine, just not animated. Join Plastic Free Israel, Secret Tel Aviv, and The Lowy International School at Tel Aviv University for this month’s beach cleanup on Friday, August 25th, at Midron Yaffo Beach. Festival of Lights is taking over Namal (Tel Aviv Port). You can see it at any time until Thirsday, but the real magic begins after sunset, when Namal transforms into wonderworld of lights!
