Ani Shlishi is a nonprofit organization based in Tel Aviv, that uses a second-hand clothing store as a medium of providing opportunities of self-advancement to Israel’s youth at risk. Hiring at-risk youth as salespeople, Ani Shlishi guides participants through a process of experiential learning and skill acquisition. If successful at the store, participants become eligible to earn a scholarship that funds learning a trade, funded in full through sales from our store.
Ani Shlishi was founded in honor of Ross Freeland, who passed away from cancer. Ross lived a life of compassion and kindness; his philosophy was: “First comes the greater good, the welfare of others is second, and I’m third.” Ani Shlishi.
