The aesthetics of this shack in Shuk HaCarmel are top notch! As we all know, home cooked Israeli food is no joke here and Bottarga does it the best. The feeling of eating in your family’s home kitchen is the whole concept behind this adorably appetizing atmosphere. Authentic and flavorful are the two words we would use to describe the daily and seasonal changing dishes made with the freshest of ingredients and locally sourced spices. We tried the onions that were stuffed to perfection with a healthy amount of chili oil, the combination of sweet melon and crisp herbs in the house salad and so much more.
Kubbeh is famously known for being Jewish dumpling soup and Bottarga’s personal spin on the traditional winter treat was a pumpkin broth, of course with the incredibly homemade (right in front of your eyes) meat stuffed dough balls. They also have the classic beetroot option!Â
We recommend checking out this joint on a Friday afternoon to bear witness to the full energy of the environment – setting the perfect scene for the vibe of the cuisine.
