TEL AVIV GETS ANIMATED 🤩

Animix started yesterday – runs through to Saturday at the Cinematheque

The Animix Festival is back and taking over the Cinematheque till Saturday. Israel’s biggest festival for animation, comics, illustration and caricature brings together leading local and international artists, filmmakers and illustrators. Tonight: Jaffa Port kick of their Music on the Deck series with La Zug

Jaffa Port’s summer of live music continues tonight with La Zug, a fun Tel Aviv sax-and-percussion duo bringing dancey sunset energy to the water. It’s part of the free Music on the Deck series, with live performances every Wednesday through August – Toca Toca on Aug 12, Los Habaibos on Aug 19 and DJ Mojon on Aug 28 – great for a date night! Thursdsay: Big concerts, Nomzy Con, Culture Picks and late-night parties!

Tomorrow is another big one. Start with culture: Nomzy Con lands at Beit HaMecholot in Jaffa Port for three free days of anime, gaming, cosplay, fantasy, comics and community chaos. Animix hosts Now Vertical at the Cinematheque, the first Hebrew vertical film collection, while Beit Radical hosts Bye Tech, a panel about leaving high-tech for more meaningful work. On the concert side: Shalom Hanoch marks 40 years of Hachikah LeMashiach at HaTarbut, Shlomo Artzi plays Barby, and Liran Danino takes over Menora Mivtachim. DARE TO RAVE 🪩

Tomorrow (Thursday): Special community event at Hormesis with yoga then party

Hormesis is one of Tel Aviv’s coolest new community spaces, sitting right on Park HaMesila and bringing together wellness, music and nightlife in a way that actually works. Tomorrow they’re hosting Dare to Rave: start with an optional sunset yoga flow, or head straight to the dancefloor. Good things happen to those who dance – and this is not your average rave. Next week at Barby: The Eurovision star everyone wants to see live

After winning HaKokhav HaBa (The Next Star), conquering Eurovision 2026 with Michelle, and becoming one of Israel’s biggest breakout artists this year, Noam Bettan is finally back home! His first run of shows at Barby sold out so fast that two extra dates had to be added (10, 12, 13, 15 & 18 August). Our Facebook Group isn’t working properly – here’s what’s going on

You might have noticed the Secret Tel Aviv Facebook Group hasn’t been working properly for the last few months. Back in May, we were hit with a Facebook / Meta restriction, and since then the group’s reach has dropped by around 75% – meaning fewer people are seeing posts, and lots of questions that would normally get answered by the community are being missed. We still don’t know exactly why it happened, how long it will last, or how to fix it, but we do know it’s affecting a lot of people. So we’re asking for help. If you know anyone at Facebook / Meta, have dealt with something similar, or have any ideas on how we can get the group reviewed properly, please message us. Secret Tel Aviv has always worked because of the people in it – hopefully the community can help get the group working again.
