After 7 years in which the band did not perform, the band members meet for a special show where songs from the band’s two albums will be played alongside the RUB A DUB segment where Papa Jibli (Tomer Harari), Ranking Levy and I Jah Salomon will be guests

Opening act: The Rootsters in an original roots reggae show.

The band was founded in 2006 by the brothers Assaf and Ilan Smilan who at the time lived on Zebulon Street in south Tel Aviv (hence the name of the band.) The band started performing in clubs, festivals and reggae parties and soon aroused great interest among the Israeli reggae community.

At first the band was instrumental and soon the first vocalist Tomer Harari (Papa Ghibli) was added to the band who wrote together with the Smilan brothers much of the band’s early material. At the end of 2009, Harari left the company and Gili Yalo took his place.
In April 2012, the band’s debut album “Freedom Time” was released, which included the band’s materials in English. The album was released on the band’s independent label, Med.Tone Records and is distributed independently all over the world and receives excellent reviews. The album was released after six years of working together in which the band members formed their own sound and style. The album was produced, recorded and mixed in the band’s home studio.

In January 2013, the band released Weed Out, a double single that included a collaboration with international reggae artists Cornel Campbell and Ranking Joe.
In February 2014, Love Is Stronger was released, another single in which members of Zebulon Dub collaborate with the Viceroys band from Jamaica, a vocal trio of three singers that has been active since 1967.
As a result of Yalo’s inclusion in the lineup, the band members began to incorporate influences of Ethiopian music into reggae and dub, and in 2014 they released the band’s second album, Anbessa Dub, (Anbessa – a lion in Amharic and Tagari). From this encounter a new style was created that is not really ‘Ethiopian’ nor really Jamaican roots reggae, the result is a new and original Israeli work.

Following the special and groundbreaking album, the band went on a concert tour in the USA, Canada and Jamaica, which included performances, among others, at the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival (the largest and most important reggae and world music festival in the USA) and at the REGGAE SUMFEST festival, the largest reggae festival in Jamaica.
