Friday, May 31 th, Habima Theater, Tel Aviv
Lunch performance, beginning of performance: 14:00

More than a decade after his death, Yossi Banai is still considered the greatest stage artist in Israel. Now Yuval Banai, who broke new ground in local music with his band Mashina, has set up an evening dedicated to the songs of his father, who have been with us for more than 50 years.
The encounter between the unforgettable qualities of Yossi Banai and the musical and stage abilities of Yuval Banai overwhelms us with longing for what has been, and what may still be. The show seeks to continue enriching the dialogue with Yossi, Yuval’s personal, as well as that of Israeli culture as a whole.
The tour is accompanied by leading musicians: Geva Alon (guitars), Amir Jungo Rossiano (bass), Assaf Reiz (drums), Liron Flora (Meshulam) and Galia Hai (Viola) Looking into the future, new arrangements for central and immortal stations in Israeli folklore: from “I and Simon and Little Moise,” to “Kapparot rooster,” “drunk and not wine,” and “love is twenty.” From Mati Caspi to Yoni Rechter, Georges Brassance to Nissim Aloni, Naomi Shemer, Alterman, Jacques Brel, Moustaki, Micha Sheetrit and Mashina.
