As the Obama’s administration pulled back from interventions in the Middle East, Putin took the chance to make new allies and restore Russia as a major global power. Would the new American administration and Trump’s new approach to foreign policy change the game? What will happen when these two super powers meet in the Middle East?
Dr. Evgeni Klauber from the Political Science and Political Communication MA Program will talk about what is the Russian political regime and how it influences its Middle Eastern policies whereas Dr. Brandon Friedman from the Middle Eastern Studies MA Program will talk on The Trump administration’s approach to foreign policy and its influence on the Middle East.
