On 18.5.2017, singer and composer Chris Cornell, one of the founders of grunge music that broke out in the early 1990s, died at the age of 52.

During his long career, Chris Cornell has released 15 albums – as a soloist for Soundgarden, Audioslave, Superpreople Temple of the Dog and in a successful solo career. During this period, Chris came to Israel four times in front of tens of thousands of fans.

His surprising death left many people around the world stunned and the music he left behind inspired an entire generation of artists.

My name is Sivan Fishman. I’m one of those amazed fans.

The day after his death, I did not feel the need to find a way to commemorate him.

Over the years, Chris has faced depression and alcoholism. His poems often referred to these periods and he did not hesitate to include his fans in this contest.

Enosh – The Israel Mental Health Association was established in order to assist those with mental disabilities and their families. Over the years, the organization has developed innovative and groundbreaking rehabilitation services, based on personalization and the values of the healing approach, which enable a person to lead a full and meaningful life.

The connection with the association gave birth to a tribute to the songs of Chris Cornell, which will be attended by many artists who appreciate his musical activity. The evening will include varied versions of songs from various points in his wide career, which will be performed by well-known artists from all shades of the Israeli rock world.
