Bazzie Hi-Fi, Kim Slavinsky and a culture of solidarity are excited to celebrate the upcoming Valentine’s Day with a festive Lover Rock Dance!
For those who do not know – the “dance” culture comes from the provinces of Jamaica with an atmosphere that is difficult to explain in words or found at any other party.
A wall of speakers, a pair of turntables, carefully selected fine record boxes and of course selectors in a duet with Emmese who excite the audience and guide the evening. When all of them work together, you can call the party the honorary title of “Dance”.
There is no more successful timing than Valentine’s Day to pay homage to Lovers Rock Style as well.
Lovers Rock is a sub-genre in reggae music that combines three loves under one roof – reggae, soul and romance.
The genre began to gain momentum somewhere in the early 1970s across the United Kingdom, drawing inspiration from early reggae versions of popular love songs of the time and being a complementary and apolitical contrast to the entry of reggae music into the collective-political consciousness.
In a reality that is mostly cynical and alienated, it is rare for such a musical gathering to take place that is all about love songs.
So whether you give it together or separately, this dance is aimed straight at the heart wholeheartedly, because we all need some sweetness on such cool days ❤️

לאברז רוק הוא תת-ז׳אנר במוזיקת רגאיי המשלב שלוש אהבות תחת קורת גג אחת – רגאיי, סול ורומנטיקה.
הז׳אנר התחיל לתפוס תאוצה אי שם בתחילת שנות ה-70 ברחבי הממלכה המאוחדת כשהוא שואב השראה מגרסאות רגאיי מוקדמות של שירי אהבה פופולריים מאותה תקופה ומהווה ניגוד משלים וא-פוליטי לכניסת מוזיקה הרגאיי לתודעה הקולקטיבית-הפוליטית.
במציאות שרובה צינית ומנוכרת, נדיר שמתקיים כינוס מוזיקלי כזה שכולו סביב שירי אהבה.
אז גם אם אתן/ם ביחד וגם אם לחוד, הדאנס הזה מכוון ישר ללב מכל הלב, כי כולנו צריכים קצת סוויטנס בימים קרירים שכאלה ❤️
