We are happy to announce our new cooperation with Lev cinema – Friday screenings of Israeli films with English subtitles and a conversation with the director!
For our second film we present The Future, directed by Noam Kaplan:
Dr. Nurit (Raymond Amsalem) Bloch seems to have nearly everything in life – an impressive academic career through which she has managed to pave a way to predict terrorist attacks, a beautiful home, a good relationship, and plans to bring a child into the world soon through surrogacy. However, when a young Palestinian woman named Yaffa (Samar Qupty) proves that the method of predicting terrorist attacks is not perfect after all, Nurit must unravel her identity and understand what went wrong. Nurit’s encounters with Yaffa on one hand, and with Maor, the surrogate (Dr. Zuzovsky) on the other hand, bring up questions about the past – and force her to confront her future, and all of ours…
