Wed 12 February 2020 | 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Cafe Shapira - Ralbag 15, Tel Aviv,

On Wednesday, February 12, we will screen the cafe Shapiro’s film “Tomorrow’s Gone,” followed by an open conversation with filmmakers Boaz Goldberg and Eyal Datz.

In 2000, journalist and musician Boaz Goldberg began documenting his friend Gabi Avoderham – a dreamy young man from Beit Shean with an obsession with Elvis, with an attraction to mystical teachings and virtuosic musical abilities. The shy Avudram creates an eccentric character named Charlie Drawer, embarks on a tumultuous musical journey and even reaches the big stages in the United States. Along with his struggle for global artistic recognition, Avudram had to constantly deal with the inner demons he was trying to silence with the help of the larger-than-life figure he created. Demons who eventually overpowered him two years ago in his Berlin apartment. “Tomorrow Has Passed” is a rare musical docu, moving across a timeline of nearly two decades and examining what happens when an artist crosses the boundaries he set for himself.
