During the winter months, we often return to the Yarkon River estuary, one of the places where you can see a significant part of Israel’s “contribution” to the pollution of the Mediterranean Sea. Waste carried through rivers is the main source of plastic pollution in the sea and oceans.
This cleanup, in cooperation with the international school EMIS and T4T, we will do trash monitoring and see which are the most common items found during the cleanup and what can WE do about it!
So join us on Friday 15.3 at 10:00-12:30 for cleaning and waste monitoring in the Yarakon estuary!
We will publish a meeting point on Google Maps and other details a few days before the cleanup.
Don’t forget to bring
– Water in a reusable bottle 🙂
– Comfortable and preferably closed shoes
– Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc.)
– And if you have reusable gloves then why not!

בתקופת החורף אנחנו חוזרים לא מעט לאזור שפך נהר הירקון, אחד המקומות שבהן ניתן לראות חלק משמעותי מ “תרומתה” של ישראל לזיהום הים התיכון. פסולת הנישאת לים דרך נהרות, הינה מקור עיקרי לזיהום פלסטיק בים ובאוקיינוסים.
הפעם, בשיתוף פעולה עם בית הספר הבינלאומי EMIS ו T4T אנחנו נמיין את הפסולת ונראה מהם הפריטים הנפוצים ביותר שנמצאו במהלך הניקיון ובדרך כלל עושים את דרכם לים התיכון דרך נהר הירקון.
אז הצטרפו בשישי ה15.3 ב10:00-12:30 לניקיון וניטור פסולת בשפך הירקון! נפרסם נקודת מפגש בגוגל מאפס ופרטים נוספים כמה ימים לפני הניקיון.
אל תשכחו להביא
– מים בבקבוק רב פעמי 🙂
– נעליים נוחות ועדיף סגורות
– הגנה מהשמש (כובע, קרם הגנה וכו)
– אם יש לכם כפפות רב פעמיות אז למה לא!
