Continuation of our musical month with Ilan Yagoda and his charming film “Tuning”

At the busy Savidor Central train station, in the bend between the bridge above the platforms and the station building, there is a black grand piano, which is available to anyone who wants to play it. When he observes the movement of passengers to and from the platforms, and the entrance and exit from the station, it seems that the piano hears and sees everything from his point of view. Precisely in this crowded and unpredictable place, where it seems that the main ambition is to move quickly and efficiently on the way to the destination, a tool is provided that allows its users to stop time for a moment, to discover feelings and worlds that are hidden in them, to experience and surrender to the now.

The film Tuning was screened at the DocAviv 2020 festival, screened at the FIPADOC festival in Biarritz, France and the Biografilm festival in Bologna, Italy, nominated for the film of the year and the cinematography award in the documentary forum competition.
After the film a conversation with the director Ilan Yagoda –
He is a documentary maker, director and producer. Among his films: “Rain 1949”, “Chesd”, “Neighborhood”. He lectures and leads workshops at many film colleges and schools throughout the country. His films were screened and won awards at festivals in Israel and around the world.
