⏰ The lecture starts at 21:00 and immediately after it the movie will start
The Garbage Pail Kids movie begins when a spaceship is forced to land on Earth, and finds its way to an antique shop run by a wizard. The boy who works in the store is being bullied by bullies, he was warned not to approach the spaceship which, by the way, is shaped like a garbage can. One day the boy can’t help himself, he opens the trash can and releases the pile of garbage.
He soon discovers that not only are the scumbags not dangerous, but on the contrary: the scumbags are actually the side of the good guys – helping the weak against the evil thugs!
Before the movie, you are invited to hear the fascinating lecture by Dr. Ido Lahav Noi (also known as Dr.GPK@)
Ido is a historian of popular culture in the 1980s, and an expert on the trash gang in Israel and around the world. In the lecture, the story of the birth of the Israeli garbage gang will be told, the story of the love and enthusiasm that the children of Israel had for it, and the story of the fierce resistance that the garbage gang provoked among the adults – the parents and school teachers.
As part of the lecture, the audience will be presented with 3 original Garbage Bunch albums that were sold in Israel in 1987-8

⏰תחילת ההרצאה בשעה 21:00 ומיד לאחריה יתחיל הסרט
סרט חבורת הזבל מתחיל כאשר חללית נאלצת לנחות על כדור הארץ, ומוצאת את דרכה לחנות עתיקות שמנוהלת על ידי מכשף. הנער שעובד בחנות סובל מהצקות של בריונים, הוזהר פן יתקרב לחללית שצורתה אגב צורת פח זבל. יום אחד הנער לא מצליח להתאפק, הוא פותח את פח האשפה ומשחרר את חבורת הזבל.
עד מהרה הוא מגלה שלא רק שחבורת הזבל אינה מסוכנת אלא להיפך: חבורת הזבל הם דווקא הצד של טובים – עוזרים לחלשים כנגד הבריונים המרושעים!
לפני הסרט מוזמנים לשמוע את ההרצאה המרתקת של ד”ר עידו להב נוי (הידוע גם כ- Dr.GPK@)
עידו הוא היסטוריון של תרבות פופולרית בשנות השמונים, ומומחה לחבורת הזבל בישראל ובעולם. בהרצאה יסופר סיפור לידתה של חבורת הזבל הישראלית, סיפור האהבה וההתלהבות שרחשו לה ילדי ישראל, וסיפור ההתנגדות העזה שחבורת הזבל עוררה בקרב המבוגרים – ההורים ומורי בתי הספר.
במסגרת ההרצאה יוצגו לקהל 3 אלבומי חבורת הזבל המקוריים ששווקו בישראל בשנת 1987-8
