Two virtuosos team up for one show: concertmaster violinist, Jeanne Gendelman, alongside bandoneon wizard Mario Stefano from Italy
The two works that bear the same name “Seasons” and are combined into one show – looking hundreds of years apart. Vivaldi in front of Piazzolla. Each and their seasons.
Each looks at the other at a distance of hundreds of years – and each describes the same subject – the seasons.
The bandoneon is the “symbol” of Argentine tango. With its rich and melancholic sound, the bandoneon has become synonymous with the passionate and soulful music of tango.
One of the most influential figures was the Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla who revolutionized tango music by combining elements of jazz and classical music, raising the bandoneon to a new level of virtuosity and expression. His works, such as “Adios Nonino” and “Libertango”, have become iconic pieces in the tango repertoire, showcasing the emotional power and versatility of the bandoneon.

שני ווירטואוזים חוברים למופע אחד: הכנרת קונצרטמייסטרית, ז’אנה גנדלמן, לצד אשף הבנדוניון מריו סטפאנו מאיטליה
שתי היצירות הנושאות את אותו השם “עונות השנה” וחוברות למופע אחד – במבט של מאות שנים זו מזו. ויוואלדי מול פיאצולה. כל אחד ועונות השנה שלו.
כל אחת מסתכלת על השנייה במרחק של מאות שנים – וכל אחת מתארת את אותו נושא – את עונות השנה.
הבנדוניאון הוא “הסמל” של הטנגו הארגנטיני. עם הצליל העשיר והמלנכולי שלו, הבנדוניאון הפך לשם נרדף למוזיקה הנלהבת ומעוררת הנשמה של הטנגו.
אחת הדמויות המשפיעות ביותר היה המלחין הארגנטיני אסטור פיאצולה אשר חולל מהפכה במוזיקת הטנגו על ידי שילוב אלמנטים של ג’אז ומוזיקה קלאסית, והעלה את הבנדוניאון לרמה חדשה של וירטואוזיות והבעה. יצירותיו, כמו “אדיוס נונינו” ו”ליברטנגו”, הפכו ליצירות אייקוניות ברפרטואר הטנגו, המציגות את כוחו הרגשי ואת הרבגוניות של הבנדוניאון.
