At a time when every free moment we are almost compulsively magnetized to the smartphone screens (and if not to the smartphone, then to the computer or television) there is no greater and more essential escapism than going back in time for two hours, and watching a classic film on film, as in the old days, the original mesmerizing viewing experience. The 16mm club will hold exclusive screenings of masterpiece films on a film projector.
Men in a trap (Deliverance, 1972)
John Boorman’s unforgettable masterpiece is absolutely one of the greatest films of the seventies of American cinema. A fine soundtrack accompanies the story of the journey of four friends that begins with a cruise and turns into something completely different. We are excited to screen a 16mm CinemaScope copy.
A few words about the copy: due to the years the colors have faded and the tint of the film has become reddish. We will use a special filter to restore the colors a little. Although it is an imperfect copy, a resounding and unusual viewing experience is still guaranteed.
