Moma Show:
Tess Parks
18.06.19 Tuesday
Barbie Tel Aviv
Opening show: Hila Ruach

The alternative rock-hard rock Parks, who grew up in Toronto but began her career in London, sensitively creates a mesmerizing mix of dark but optimistic music that moves elegantly and lacks a sense of humor.

The effort between soft pop and rock guitar / Lo-Fay is sexy and psychedelic, and despite her young age, Parks has many achievements, At the age of 17 she moved to London to study photography at the School of the Arts.

Within a short time she realized that genetics can not be ignored and that her true vocation is music.
She left school and began to perform alone with songs she wrote and aroused great interest in the city, then she also met the founder of legendary label ”

Creation and Poptones Records”
Alan McGee.

When her visa expired, Parks was forced to return to Canada, where she founded the De Good Voice band and released her first single – Work All Day / Up All Night.

When McGee heard the material, he quickly signed it on his label ‘359 Music’ where it first broke with her debut album ‘Blood Hot’, released in 2013 and revealed for the first time the depths and expanses of her vocal movement.
She managed to penetrate into the general consciousness two years later, in a successful and ongoing collaboration with Bryan’s Jonestown Misker, Anton Newcombe, a collaboration that produced two joint albums that appeared on Anton’s ‘Records’ label and a host of guest appearances.

During a number of years of activity, Tess has managed to gain a loyal following with her music, which is described as “a dirty and somewhat nervous psychic, and for moments almost starring Starr in drunken moments of drunkenness” and in recent years she has become one of the most interesting voices in the London scene in particular and in the worldwide neo-psychedelic scene.
