Our keynote speakers will schmooze for a bit followed by a Q&A session and then, its time to enjoy the mingling again (think beverage in hand?).

About the Talk:

As Chairman of the Jewish Agency, General Almog is in charge of worldwide aliyah to Israel. Israel is a country of olim, and olim continue to play a vital role in the country. We will explore the impact olim have had and continue to have on the State of Israel and its society, and how we can craft our own role in impacting Israel. General Almog and representatives from the Jewish Agency will also be on hand to adress your aliyah questions.

About Our Speaker:

Doron Almog, the Chairman of the Executive of The Jewish Agency for Israel. In 2016 he received the Israel Prize, the country’s highest honor for lifetime achievement. Major General Almog excelled in his service in the IDF’s most elite units and was a leader in many of Israel’s battles, including the raid on Entebbe and the Yom Kippur War, ultimately rising to the position of Commander of the IDF’s Southern Command.

Upon his retirement from the IDF, Doron established the Adi Negev-Nahalat Eran (ALEH) residential and outpatient rehabilitation center for children, teens and young adults with severe disabilities. Doron also held roles for the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel, the economic development of the Bedouin community in the Negev, a scholarship fund for former lone soldiers, and more.

Almog holds an MA in International Relations from Haifa University and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. He is a former Senior Research Fellow at Harvard, and has published numerous books and studies in the areas of security and strategy.
