Sputnik Hi-Fi play Hebrew reggae with a heavy accent. The sources of musical inspiration are rootsy reggae, ska and underground Russian rock from the Soviet era. The texts ironically reflect the reality of the here and now, and are influenced by South American literature,
Classical Chinese poetry and problematic messages from outer space.
The ensemble was founded in 2014 by brothers Adik and Dima Mitgratz who immigrated from Ukraine in the mid-1990s.
