Meet THE FOODIES //
Adeena Sussman, Cookbook and Shuk Extraordinaire
Xoli, Making badass beer bread breakfasts at Cafe Xoho
Tal Nimrodi, Making Nut Butters even better!

ABOUT ADEENA //
Food writer and recipe developer Adeena Sussman has co-authored 10 cookbooks, including two New York Times best-sellers in 2016: Chrissy Teigen’s Cravings and Candace Nelson’s Sprinkles Baking Book. She is also the author of Tahini and is currently working on her first solo major release, a user’s guide to Israeli food and cooking. Her work on the subject has appeared in publications including Food And Wine, Conde Nast Traveler, The Wall Street Journal, Cooking Light, Gourmet, Food Republic, Epicurious, and many others. If you need to find her, just go to Shuk Hacarmel – she does several times a day, sourcing ingredients and inspiration for her recipes and Instagram stories. Her favorite thing to make in the kitchen right now is anything that beats the summer heat: Fig and burrata caprese, Israeli Salad, or –best of all—reservations at Habasta.

ABOUT XOLI //
Xoli opened Xoho with her best friend and now-husband Howie close to 8 years ago. They teamed up with chef Zoe Komarin, and nearly 8 years later the Cafe is stronger than ever. Xoli now runs the local spot on her own, and can be found on most days on the floor or behind the bar. When she’s not at Xoho she’s planning all-things-Xoho, going for a run, or spending time with her husband and three animals at home.

ABOUT TAL //
Tal Nimrodi is an athletic health nut who decided to turn her passion for fitness, food, and sustainability into her full time job. While on a long bike ride in the north struggling to find something to fuel her body, she realized there had to be a better way than plain old dates and tahini. That’s when she came up with the idea of RUSTYS Nut Butters and Treats- A mindful eating nut butter brand focusing on delicious and nutritious choices for the everyday busy and active lifestyle‎. In the last three years, Tal has been increasing the awareness of living a full and healthy life without having to compromise on taste and creativity. As a one-woman show, she has taken her nut butters to shelves in stores around Israel including Anise, Teva Castel, Neroli and even the Delicatessen, and has collaborated with nutritionist and fitness coaches to drive the change towards conscious consumerism.
