Here he comes. When world leaders gather in Sharm el-Sheikh to attend the climate conference, and make decisions (or not make them) about the lives of each one of us, we will gather in Tel Aviv to attend our own climate conference – the first popular climate conference! This will be our conference, we the people, and we will talk about everything that touches our lives – about the climate crisis, and how it relates to well-being, housing, and livelihoods, and most importantly – about how we can act to ensure that dealing with it will be swift, effective and fair.

On 11/14, we will hear how big ideas and a brave vision can lead us forward – with former Knesset members Dov Hanin and Sondus Saleh, with climate scientist Avner Gross (“The Climatist”), and with lawyer Inbal Harmoni, chairman of the Union of Women and Workers the social. Come hear, ask questions, get inspired and ask questions in an open panel. At the end of the event, we will continue to a night picnic (weather permitting…) and an open conversation with the speakers in the nearby rail park.

On 11/20, the time will come for concrete steps. A summary of the conference in Sharm will be heard, what was decided there and what was not, then a series of activities and activists from different fields will present the ten things that need to happen now to deal with the crisis. Come and hear about the transition to green energy, preserving nature, promoting a just transition for workers, Jewish-Arab partnership, feminist-climate struggle, international cooperation and peace, and more. We will end the evening with a special segment of the stand-up artist Noam Shuster-Eliassi.

Both events are open to anyone and everyone. It starts at 19:30, and it is recommended to arrive early, because the number of places in the space is limited. See you at the first People’s Climate Conference!

הנה זה מגיע. כשמנהיגי העולם יתאספו בשארם לועידת האקלים, ויקבלו החלטות (או שלא) על החיים של כולנו, אנחנו נתאסף בתל-אביב לועידת אקלים משלנו – ועידת האקלים העממית הראשונה! זו תהיה ועידה שלנו, הציבור, ונדבר בה על כל מה שנוגע בחיים שלנו – על משבר האקלים, על איך הוא קשור לרווחה, לדיור, לפרנסה שלנו, ובעיקר – על איך אפשר לפעול כדי להבטיח שההתמודדות מולו תהיה מהירה, אפקטיבית, וצודקת.
ها هو آت. عندما يجتمع قادة العالم في شرم الشيخ لحضور مؤتمر المناخ، ويتخذون قرارات (أو لا يتخذونها) بشأن حياة كل واحد فينا، سنجتمع في تل أبيب لحضور مؤتمر المناخ الخاص بنا – أول مؤتمر شعبي للمناخ! سيكون هذا هو مؤتمرنا، نحن الناس، وسنتحدث عن كل ما يمس حياتنا – حول أزمة المناخ، وكيف ترتبط بالرفاهية، والإسكان، وسبل العيش، والأهم من ذلك – حول كيف يمكننا التصرف لضمان أن التعامل معها سيكون سريعًا وفعالاً وعادلاً.

ב-14/11, נשמע איך רעיונות גדולים וחזון אמיץ יכולים להוביל אותנו קדימה – עם חברי הכנסת לשעבר דב חנין וסונדוס סאלח, עם מדען האקלים אבנר גרוס (“האקלימיסט”), ועם עו”ס ענבל חרמוני, יו”ר איגוד העובדות והעובדים הסוציאליים. בואו לשמוע, לשאול שאלות, לקבל השראה ולשאול שאלות בפאנל פתוח. בסיום האירוע, נמשיך לפיקניק לילה (אם מזג-האוויר יאפשר…) ולשיחה פתוחה עם הדוברים והדוברות בפארק המסילה הסמוך.
في 11/14، سنسمع كيف يمكن للأفكار الكبيرة والرؤية الشجاعة أن تقودنا إلى الأمام – مع أعضاء الكنيست السابقين دوف حنين وسندس صالح، وعالم المناخ أفنير غروس، والعاملة الاجتماعية عنبال هارموني، رئيسة اتحاد العاملات والعمال الاجتماعيين. تعالوا واستمع واطرحوا الأسئلة استلهموا من النقاشات. في نهاية الحدث، سنقوم بأمسية ليلية (إذا سمح الطقس …) ومحادثة مفتوحة مع المتحدثين في حديقة السكك الحديدية القريبة.

ב-20/11, יגיע הזמן לצעדים קונקרטיים. נשמע סיכום של הוועידה בשארם, מה הוחלט בה ומה לא, ואז שורה של פעילות ופעילים מתחומים שונים יציגו את עשרת הדברים שצריכים לקרות עכשיו כדי להתמודד עם המשבר. בואו לשמוע על מעבר לאנרגיה ירוקה, שמירה על הטבע, קידום מעבר צודק לעובדים, שותפות יהודית-ערבית, מאבק פמיניסטי-אקלימי, שיתופי-פעולה בינלאומיים ושלום, ועוד. נסיים את הערב בקטע מיוחד של הסטנדאפיסטית נועם שוסטר-אליאסי.
في 11/20 سيحين وقت اتخاذ خطوات ملموسة. سيتم الاستماع إلى ملخص عن مؤتمر شرم الشيخ، ما تم تقريره هناك وما لم يتم، ثم سيقوم مجموعة من الناشطين والناشطات بعرض لأمور العشرة التي يجب أن تحدث الآن للتعامل مع الأزمة. تعالوا واسمعوا عن الانتقال إلى الطاقة الخضراء، والحفاظ على الطبيعة، وتعزيز الانتقال العادل للعمال، والشراكة اليهودية العربية، والنضال النسوي للمناخ، والتعاون الدولي والسلام، والمزيد. نختتم الأمسية بفقرة خاصة ستاند آب كوميدي للفنانة نوعام شوستر إلياسي.
