The 2017 Shakespeare Festival at the Tmuna Theater encourages contemporary, experimental work that brings together the Shakespearean materials with the here and now.
We want to create a meeting between the classic 400-year-old text and the artistic language of today’s stage creators, to give the living heart in them a breathing and a beating.
The festival’s events this year are particularly diverse: plays, music performances and workshops, including a guest artist from Austria – the director and actor Marcus Kupferblum, who will perform at the new premiere festival and will also deliver a workshop.
