As part of the celebration of International LGBT Pride Day (28 June), the Lowy International School of Tel Aviv University, the LGBT Achva and the Embassy of Mexico in Israel are proud to invite you to a special screening of the film Finlandia, directed by Horacio Alcal谩.
The screening will take place on Monday 26 June at 6 pm at the Mexico Auditorium, Mexico building of the Tel Aviv University.

Synopsis: In a small town outside of Oaxaca lives a group of Muxes, third gender and non-binary people, who make a living sewing and looking after their elders. Parallel to this, fashion designers in Spain plot a plan to appropriate the traditional dresses that the Muxes create. The film follows the highs and the lows of the Muxes, indulging in their intoxicating ‘velas’ and grieving their lost loves, all in the beautiful setting of rural Mexico. As tragedy strikes, the importance of kinship and chosen family is reverberated across the town.

Sinopsis: Marta es dise帽adora y realiza un viaje a Oaxaca para documentarse.
