On Wednesday, June 16, we will screen the third episode of the series “Rabenu” in the courtyard of Cafe Shapira, and after the screening there will be an open conversation with the creator Uri Groder (who is also behind the films “Happy Purim”, “Holy Seed” and the series “We’ll Meet” and ” My Faith “), which has been hosted by us in the past with two special events of their kind.
How did it happen that Rabbi Nachman of Breslav became from a controversial figure to one of the most influential icons of the social, religious and cultural range in Israel and abroad? What is the secret of the magic of a mysterious Admor who died 208 years ago in Uman in Ukraine whose tomb has become a place of pilgrimage. “Rabenu” brings to the screen a spectacular tripe and contemporary documentary journey, which has not been done to this day.
