The iconic ensemble from the home of Ori Kaplan and Tamir Muskat (Balkan Beat Box), Uri Kinrot (Boom Fem, Uzo Bazooka) and Itamar Ziegler (The Backyard) – Shotenz – comes to Romano’s wooden lounge for the third and final round of a trilogy of unbridled midnight performances, in preparation for the new album To be released on Batov Records!

The unorthodox quartet that is Shotenz was formed on the streets of downtown Manhattan in the good old days of the early 2000s, where they played in dim bars and clubs until they established themselves as a cult band in New York of those years.
Recently, the talents united here in Israel and returned to create instrumental, atmospheric and cinematic music with a sound that is based on distant but similar musical languages, from a wide but coherent place of world-wide influences – from film noir to a Greek tavern, through Latin Tarantino style and old-time surf and exotic spices.

הרביעיה הלא שגרתית שהיא שוטנז הוקמה ברחובות דאון טאון מנהטן בימים הטובים של תחילת ה-2000, שם ניגנו בברים ומועדונים אפלוליים עד שביססו את עצמם כהרכב קאלט בניו יורק של אותן שנים.
לאחרונה התאחדו הטאלנטים כאן בארץ וחזרו ליצור מוזיקה אינסטרומנטלית, אטמוספרית וסינמטית עם סאונד שמבוסס על שפות מוזיקליות רחוקות אבל דומות, ממקום רחב אך קוהרנטי של השפעות חובקות עולם – מפילם נואר לטברנה יוונית, דרך לטיני טרנטינו סטייל ותבליני סרף ואקזוטיקה של פעם.
