“Pole Theme Israel” is the first international Pole dance competition of its kind!
Not only will the competition judge acrobatics, flexibility and choreography both on static and spinning poles, but an extra focus will be put on the “show” and character portrayed by each contestant.
How is this different?
The competition will have a main “Theme“ according to which the contestant must build choreography, costumes and characters .Each year ,a different theme! The competition venue will also correspond with our theme!
This year, our theme is Cinema.
Contestants must choose a film and build a character and routine based on this film.
Contestants will be judged not only on their dance routine (clean transition between moves, correct rhythm of movement, music according to chosen character etc.) but will also be based on their expression of the character in a clear and powerful way, correspondence between said character and the costume ,hairstyle and makeup of contestant.
The rules in the competition are less “strict”, and the contestants can make use of props on stage and the audience itself as part of the show.
The contestants are given the freedom to design and plan the character and routine on the stage in a way that will best express the chosen film*.
