Our last monthly cleanup was almost 2 months ago! We can’t wait to get back to the beaches with you – and it’s about time! 💙
This summer was not a normal summer, to say the least! With our international travel restricted and everyone staying in this small country, you may have noticed, it’s been a bit… crowded – especially on beaches and nature reserves! All the break nature had from us during lockdowns was reversed with our favourite spots hitting full capacity – and waste like we’ve never seen before. We’re so grateful for what Israel nature has to offer us these days, and it’s important to show respect to the land and remember to protect it!
A lot of great new initiatives started recently and we see so many cleanups going on which is heart warming! Remember that if you can’t make it to our cleanups there are plenty of others, just check out our events tab for more initiatives!
On a similar note, our volunteers have collected 9530 kg of trash since Plastic Free Israel started! We want to give this number a nicer sound and make it to 10,000 kg – 10 tons of trash collected from our coastline! On the 28/8 we are coming with the goal to raise awareness and educate about plastic pollution and solutions, but also to collect at least 470kg to break this record! Are you in?
We will meet in Tel Aviv on the 28/8 , Hapirza Beach (Near Hatzuk Beach North) at 9:00. To avoid crowd and follow the Ministry of Health instructions everyone will register at the beginning but there will be no snacks served this time (unless the instruction will change by then), as we will not be congregating in a large group after the event.
Please remember to bring:

ניקיון החוף האחרון שלנו היה כמעט לפני חודשיים! אנחנו לא יכולים לחכות כבר לחזור איתכם לחופים – הגיע הזמן! 💙
הקיץ הזה לא היה קיץ רגיל במילים עדינות! עם הגבלת הטיסות לחו”ל כולם נשארו בבית במדינה הקטנה שלנו, בטח שמתם לב ש… די צפוץ! במיוחד בחופים ובאתרי הטבע! כל ההפסקה שהטבע קיבל מאיתנו במהלך הסגר, התהפכה והמקומות האהובים עלינו מגיעים לתפוסה מלאה – ופסולת בכמות שאנחנו לא רגילים לראות. אנחנו מודים על כל הטבע המדהים שיש לישראל להציע לנו בימים האלו, אבל חשוב ממש לכבד את הטבע הזה ואת האדמה הזו ולזכור לשמור עליה!
המון יוזמות חדשות ומקסימות התחילו לצוץ לאחרונה ואנחנו רואים המון ניקיונות חופים ושמורות וזה מחמם את הלב! זכרו שאם לא תוכלו להגיע לניקיון שלנו ואגב גם אם תוכלו, יש המון ניקיונות ברחבי הארץ, בדקו בדף האירועים שלנו לעוד יוזמות!
בנוסף, מאז תחילת הפעילות שלנו בפלסטיק פרי ישראל, המתנדבים שלנו אספו 9,530 ק”ג של פסולת! אנחנו רוצים לתת למספר הזה צליל יפה יותר ולהפוך אותו ל10,000 ק”ג – 10 טון! ב28/8 אנחנו באים לא רק עם המטרה הקבוצה להעלות מודעות וללמד אתכם על זיהום הפלסטיק והפתרונות, אבל גם לאסוף לפחות עוד 470 ק”ג לשבור את השיא הזה! אתם באים?
ניפגש ב28/8 בצוק שמעל חוף הפירצה בשעה 9:00 – מוזמנים להגיע גם לפני! כדי למנוע מהתקהלות במהלך האירוע ולהישמע להוראות משרד הבריאות, תתבצע רק הרשמה בתחילת האירוע ולקיחת ציוד לניקיון אבל לא נגיש נשנושים הפעם (אלא אם כן יהיה שינוי בהנחויות ההתקהלות) ולא נתכנס בסוף האירוע לשיחה.
