Gordon Gallery - Ben Yehuda 95, Tel Aviv,

Gordon Gallery is pleased to present, for the first time in Israel, a gallery exhibition by international artist and designer Ron Arad. The exhibition, titled ‘All and Nothing’ will open at Gordon Gallery’s 6 Hapelech St. location on Thursday, March 22nd, 2018 at 7:30 PM.
Arad (b. 1951, Tel Aviv, lives and works in London) is among the most prominent and influential designers in the field today. Arad is the recipient of the 2011 Panerai London Design Medal, and in 2017 was selected alongside architect David Adjaye to design the National Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre for Victoria Tower Gardens, in London. A retrospective of Arad’s work was exhibited at New York’s MoMA in 2009.
Writer Jonathan Safran Foer has said of Arad’s work:
“…There are things – pornography, the taste of water – that are impossible to define but easy to recognize. Ron Arad’s genius is such a thing. Is he a designer? (industrial? Furniture?) A sculptor? An architect? A conceptual artists? Should it matter? And if not, should it matter that it shouldn’t matter? The problem with pinning Arad down is not that he doesn’t fit any of the potential descriptions, but that he can’t be contained by them…”
For his show at Gordon Gallery, Arad will create a spectacular large scale site specific installation, again pushing that border between art and design. The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue.
The exhibition closes Saturday, May 5th.

Special gallery hours during the exhibition:
Mon-Thu 11:00-18:00
Friday 10:00-14:00
Saturday 10:00-13:00
