Givon Art Gallery - Gordon 35, Tel Aviv,

A solo exhibition by the painter Marik Lechner, featuring a selection of works from the past two years. Lechner’s painting is characterized by excessive materialism and a world of images that lingers on the border between anxiety and horror to compassion and beauty. The physical act of painting is embodied as a trace in the matter from which ghostly figures are born, intricate narratives of the self. Lechner’s painting is a physical painting – one that penetrates the skin and meets the living flesh, vibrating, pulsating and yearning. Body to body, pulse to pulse.
