On Thursday, March 29th we are throwing a special Passover party dedicated to the sound of Motown Records – The iconic label that discovered The Jackson Five, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and many more. The Motown Sound went worldwide in the 60s, and that sound still resonates today. With nearly 200 #1 songs worldwide, Motown remains an influence on today’s biggest pop and R&B stars.
Behind the booth youll find an exceptional line up of djs wholl play some of the best Soul, Funk and Disco Motown has to offer aswell as other labels which share the same musical direction:
Santos Barakos
A great dj known for his unique taste – Seems like each time we hosted him behind the booth, it was on a hard to forget party.
His ability to cherry pick hidden gems alongside some great classics puts him in a great spot to do the perfect job as the opener.
Glenn Holmes
Our very own Glenn Holmes – the resident & the living spirit behind A Soul Thing. If you’ve been to our parties before, you definitely know him and his ability to mix together big hits alongside crazy good tunes that are less known. He’s been busy the last few years spreading his groovey taste in various parties around the city and he knows what it takes in order to take the party to the next level.
Funk Sinatra
One of the biggest music lovers and diggers we know of in Tel Aviv. He is a talented disco and funk edits producer who takes forgotten pieces of music and gives them a fresh sound with huge respect to the origin. More important than that: he is the DJ who we hosted the most in our parties. He knows every groove, there are barely people in this town who haven’t danced to his sets and you can’t really help but dancing when he is on.
