Open a gate for us – a performance of forgiveness and renewal by the singer Maureen, winner of the Uri Auerbach Prize for Jewish Culture in the field of music for 2023.
In the show, Maureen combines moving songs and poems of forgiveness from all Israeli communities in a one-off and moving presentation. The combination of the virtuoso musicians on the ethnic and western instruments together with Maureen’s mesmerizing voice, create a unique and unforgettable experience, which creates a spectrum of emotions and rhythms, between East and West, between ancient voices and a current sound and between past and future.
Maureen released four albums that received great success and excellent music reviews, thus positioning her as one of the most talented and important singers and creators in Israeli music, who is at the “top of the elite league of female singers in Israel”, as music critic Ben Shalu wrote in Haaretz
