Matilda, one of the top five musicals in the world, winner of 99 prestigious international awards, is coming to Israel! Starting August 7, 2023 at the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center.
Matilda, produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company, is the story of an extraordinary little girl, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, who dares to take a stand and change the fate of her life. The musical has been shown for over 11 years in London’s West End. It is inspired by Roald Dulles’ beloved book by Tony Award-winning playwright Dennis Clay and directed by Tony Award-winner Matthew Varchus. The songs were written and composed by Tim Minchin.
The full original production is coming to Israel, including: all the sets and costumes designed by Tony Award winner Rob Howell, choreography by Tony Award winner Peter Darling and lighting by Tony Award winner Hugh Vanston. All this accompanied by a full orchestra conducted by Christopher Nightingale.
The musical will be performed in English with Hebrew subtitles.
