The Jerusalem Orchestra Marsh Dondurma is celebrating its fifth album in the first international launch with the London label Kudos Records, on vinyl only! (And of course the Strimnig services).

Marsh Dondurma in numbers: 16 musicians, 13 years, 5 albums, 20 meters brass pipe and one huge saffron! A band / orchestra that does not stop doing. Sixteen members of Marsh Dondurma, who recently returned to Israel from a performance at the Canadian Jazz Festival, are now launching a fifth album, all while working on a children’s project that will be released at the end of the year. They started out on a street scene in Mahane Yehuda Market, among the vegetable and spice stalls. From there they turned to clubs and festivals in Israel and performances around the world. After seeing them incidentally, Berry Sakharof invited them to record with him, over the years they collaborated with Shlomo Gronich, Shai Tsabari and Liora Yitzhak.

The new album, or rather the vinyl, includes five tracks: The Open theme composed by Eilon Tushiner, Ariel Zilber’s song “Give Me Power”, which is composed and rewrote the song “Jumbo” composed by the orchestra, Which is a popular melody and “dardar” composed by Udi Raz and is a concentrated capsule of local spices.

Marsh Dondurma are:
Noa Segal, Dotan Yogev, Yuval Kaufman, Oded Aloni – drums and percussion instruments
Udi Raz – Suzpon
Louisa Salomon, Maayan Milo, Yaron Ozana – Trombones
Idan Raveh, Aviran Ben Naim, Eli Preminger – trumpets
Elon Tushiner, Yaakov Gorenstein, Eviatar Levy, Danny Leibovitz, Anton Falco – saxophones

The orchestra’s joy of life and the music of the orchestra have already become famous, both of which are expressed in their albums and even more in performances that are an experience for the eye, the heart and the legs. If you were not still in a concert then you must and if you were, then you already know what is good.
