Musrara’s Social Gallery, Shivtei Israel St 22, Jerusalem
Members of the “Indie Collaborative Photography Gallery” were invited to enter the archive of the works of the late Morel Derfler and to hold a dialogue with the subjects that preoccupied Derfler in his work: human-animal relations and nature-culture. From this encounter the exhibition was created, which examines the artificial marking of the fence and the ways in which the fence creates invisible borders consisting of concepts of culture, locality and heritage, which exercise power and thwart the possibility of movement and mobility.

חברי “אינדי גלריה שיתופית לצילום”, הוזמנו להיכנס לתוך ארכיון עבודותיו של מורל דרפלר ז”ל ולקיים דיאלוג עם הנושאים שהעסיקו את דרפלר ביצירתו: יחסי אדם-חיה וטבע-תרבות. מתוך המפגש הזה נוצרה התערוכה, שבוחנת את הסימון המלאכותי של הגדר החיה ואת האופנים שבהם הגדר מייצרת גבולות בלתי-נראים המורכבים ממושגים של תרבות, מקומיות ומורשת, המפעילים כוח ומסכלים אפשרות של ניעות וניידות.
