Thu 20 December 2018 | 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Ichilov Hospital - Weitzman 6, Tel Aviv,

As part of the association’s activities, we have chosen to focus on increasing EMDR knowledge to therapists dealing with sexual abuse. The treatment of sexual abuse represents a large part of the work that EMDR therapists meet on a daily basis. Since the sexual abuse affects all segments of the population, in all ages and sectors, we have chosen to conduct cross-sectoral cooperation in order to bring the best lecturers and knowledge to practitioners in the public and private sectors.

The seminar will present experienced therapists from their work in the EMDR treatment and will enable therapists to deepen and expand their knowledge. The seminar will examine the issue from a number of angles and will include treatment of children, dissociation therapy, and group therapy. There will also be a reference to the therapists’ internal processes, as well as a dialogue between the audience, patient and therapist of the spiritual process of EMDR treatment.

The seminar will be accompanied by an art exhibition by the participants of the support group of the HRC and will conclude today a dramatic performance of a platform theater and at the end of which a panel discussion will be held with the participation of the audience.

Lectures:
Dr. Tzvia Seligman – “The Challenges in Treating Victims and Victims of Complex Sexual Trauma”

Yaela Levavi – “The unique contribution of the EMDR method to the treatment of victims and victims of sexual trauma”

In addition, the play “Your Body is Free” will take place: “Platforma” – a social theater for the advancement of women victims of violence. A direct and touching theatrical performance that combines testimonies of women participating in the project through personal texts, singing and live music on the stage, “a work that came from pain and became a victory.”
