๐๐ฟ The wonderful story of the African-American girl who was born and raised at the beginning of the 20th century and experienced a difficult and impossible childhood, but ended her life as an honorary member of the Pantheon of French culture and was a symbol of Parisian culture.
How important is it in French culture? ๐ซ๐ท
Baker is one of only five women to be enshrined in France’s Hall of Fame alongside 75 of the nation’s greats and the first African-American woman to receive the honor.
โจ She was the queen of the night life as a dancer, singer, movie actress but no less than that – also a spy and active in the French underground, an adoptive mother of twelve children who founded a family of brotherhood and peace between nations in the house of her dreams in a remote French village? And the human rights fighter!
The lecture is accompanied by a presentation and video clips in French with a structured translation in Hebrew and at the end questions and answers with the audience.
