Almost two years ago we got on the Yellow Submarine stage in Jerusalem for an unforgettable meeting with our wonderful audience – a live album performance.
We chose three rootsy New Orleans pieces and one more original piece and combined them into an I.P.
The oath in October 2023 hit us hard. as in all.
We asked “Is this the time?” And we went to play.
To play in front of evacuees, victims and anyone who asked. We went to cry together and build hope together. Little by little we realized that even these days we can find a place for these recordings in the world.
We discovered that this music strengthens us and our audience even when we are in the depths of sadness.
Today we release her to the world.

“Do whatever you want” is the new epic album of the Las Pirates Pirates – a Jerusalem street orchestra consisting of about 20 musicians and musicians. The band operates in the spirit of the “Brass Bands” of New Orleans, and performs early jazz pieces, and original and varied material influenced by hip hop, rock, funk, and more. The album includes New Orleans standards and original music, performed live at the Yellow Submarine in Jerusalem. Along with performances on major stages and leading festivals in Israel (Jazz Festivals in Eilat and Jerusalem, Yerot Menashe Festival, Makodshet Festival, International Blues Day Festival, etc.), in original productions (“Movehat”, the main show as part of Heritage Week) and in collaborations with first-class artists (Shannon Street, Gal De Paz, Echo, Gon Ben Ari and more), the ensemble regularly participates in various community events and artistic initiatives – all this voluntarily and as part of the New Orleans tradition of artistic expression through social and community involvement.

לפני כמעט שנתיים עלינו על במת הצוללת הצהובה בירושלים למפגש בלתי נשכח עם הקהל הנפלא שלנו – הופעת אלבום לייב.
בחרנו שלושה קטעים ניו אורלינסיים שורשיים ועוד קטע מקורי אחד ואיגדנו אותם לאי.פי.
השבעה באוקטובר 2023 הכה בנו חזק. כמו בכולם.
שאלנו “האם זה הזמן?” והלכנו לנגן.
לנגן מול מפונות ומפונים, נפגעות ונפגעים ומול כל מי שביקש. הלכנו לבכות יחד ולבנות תקווה יחד. לאט לאט הבנו שגם בימים האלה אנחנו יכולים למצוא להקלטות הללו מקום בעולם.
גילינו שהמוזיקה הזו מחזקת אותנו ואת הקהל שלנו גם כשאנחנו בתהומות העצב.
היום אנחנו משחררות אותה לעולם.

״תעשי מה שבא לך״ הוא אלבום האיפי החדש של הפיראטיות הפיראטיות – תזמורת רחוב ירושלמית המורכבת מכ-20 נגניות ונגנים. הלהקה פועלת ברוח ה”בראס בנדז” של ניו אורלינס, ומבצעת קטעי ג’אז מוקדמים, וחומרים מקוריים ומגוונים המושפעים מהיפ הופ, רוק, פאנק, ועוד. האלבום כולל סטנדרטים ניו אורלינסיים ומוזיקה מקורית, בביצועים מהופעה חיה בצוללת הצהובה בירושלים. לצד מופעים על במות מרכזיות ופסטיבלים מובילים בארץ (פסטיבלי הג‘אז באילת ובירושלים, פסטיבל יערות מנשה, פסטיבל מקודשת, פסטיבל יום הבלוז הבינלאומי, ועוד), בהפקות מקור (”מובטחת“, המופע המרכזי במסגרת שבוע מורשת) ובשיתופי פעולה עם אמנים מהשורה הראשונה (שאנן סטריט, גל דה-פז, אקו, גון בן ארי ועוד), משתתף ההרכב באופן קבוע באירועים קהילתיים שונים ויוזמות אמנותיות – כל זאת בהתנדבות וכחלק מהמסורת הניו-אורלינסית של ביטוי אמנותי דרך מעורבות חברתית וקהילתית.
